Hey, everyone! I know this isn't supposed to be my first real post, but I thought I would say "hey!" to see if this thing works. I really liked the video we watched about people in the world and how many are in different countries, have different religions, and the like. I also thought the poem construction exercise was interesting--never done that before--and I guess it shows that everyone can interpret literature differently.
Hey,i thought the video was very interesting. Today i learned that as human beings we all have sort of issues that we all deal with as a whole. And as far as the exercize today surprised me because of course its an english class and as people when we thing of english we think about reading and writing....no fun. But you showed me a whole new world of not just having to read and write but to take what i think i no change it by applying it to an project and explaining what i thought the passage was about. It helped alot because the poem we read made sense after we observed what was being said and then processing it and applying it...i think it was great caint wait for that early thursday class. :-))
ReplyDeleteI also found the video very enlightening and interesting. It helped me to see the impact America has on the rest of the world (both good and bad). For being such a small percentage of the world's population it is truly remarkable how far reaching even the small things we do as a nation can be. I enjoyed the exercises, both for getting to know my classmates, as well as the one on perceptions (though I’m not sure if I should be worried that the first thing I thought of was a boat!). I look forward to Thursday and wish us all the best for this semester.
